The ancient Egyptians created the first cosmetics. For Egyptians, makeup served as a marker of wealth believed to appeal to the gods. The eyeliner was used by women and men. The rouge, white powders to lighten skin tone, and eye shadow were popular too.

In our days, makeup is very important. Women love to look pretty and makeup help them to look great and gorgeous in every occasion. Now, cosmetics are a necessity if not for all, for many women.

Make up is power. Many can be for or against it. If you are a woman, you may use it every day. Cosmetics are able to improve your appearance. They are able to turning you into another person.

Cosmetics give to many women the confidence they need because makeup is able to hide signs of tiredness, skin flaws and even scars. In other words, make up makes you look gorgeous at any age and hide any imperfection. For many beauty is equal to makeup. Through cosmetics, women have the power to look the way they want.

Women begin to use cosmetics at an early age. One study found that around 40% to 50% of 12 to 14 year olds wear make up. This includes eyebrow pencils, mascara, eyeliner, and more coverage products like foundation, concealer, blush and bronzer.

As I said before, cosmetics improve the looks and helps to many women to gain confidence. Cosmetics also erase your unique features when you cover your face with tons of makeup. We all know that women through cosmetic want to become “perfect”, but tons of makeup promote unrealistic beauty standards.

Some men have been accusing women of wearing too much makeup, as they “trick” them with false looks. Other men appreciate the effort they put to look the prettiest.
